Regina , along with several other practioners established the Center for Mind Body Therapies in 1995. Since that time, she has studied, practiced and offered a wide range of conventional and complementary practices including meditation, yoga, therapeutic and somatic bodywork, and mental health counseling.

In 2001, she graduated from Johns Hopkins University in clinical community counseling and is now a licensed clinical professional counselor(LCPC) .

Regina intregrates western psychological theories such as cognitive behavior therapy(CBT) with mindfulness based approaches. When possible, she encourages a recovery model that includes exercise, relaxation practice and other life style changes. She also includes a focus on interpersonal solutions to depression, anxiety and stress because changing how you feel can be impacted by how your relate to yourself, others, your job and your community.

While cognitive-behavioral theory and exposure techniques are the foundation of treatment, I also might include relaxation training, breathing skills, problem-solving, and mindfulness based strategies.

Lifestyle changes that incorporate mind-body approaches such as aerobic exercise, deep breathing, massage therapy, yoga, and acupunture may also be recommended as part of the treatment program to reduce hyperarousal, improve sleep, and increase self-awareness.

Includes assessing for strengths and building a mutually respectful way of communicating that strives to reduce defensiveness, criticalness, contempt and resentment. The idea that relationships can foster a sense of safety, healing and personal growth is emphasized.

M.S. from Johns Hopkins University(JHU) in clinical community counseling
Two-years of posttgraduate training and supervision at the Anxiety and Stress
Disorders Institute in Towson, Maryland.
Ongoing peer supervision and continuing education
