Practitioners at the Center for Mind-Body Therapies of Frederick, Maryland recognize and embrace the interaction between mind, body, and spirit in supporting health and healing.Our focus is on integrating conventional mental health care with complementary healing modalities, such as acupuncture, therapeutic massage and bodywork.

Brenda teaches hatha yoga in the Svaroopa style. Developed by Rama Berch of Master Yoga Foundation in La Jolla, California, Svaroopa yoga is becoming increasingly recognized as one of the most compassionate and reliable methods of working with the body, the mind and the emotions.

Nina integrates body-mind and spiritual awareness in her psychotherapy practice of 25 years. She provides psychothreapy for adults, couples and groups specialing in addictions, co-dependency, depression, grief and loss, personal and spiritual life transition and relationship difficulties. She utilizes a holistic approach blending cognitive behavioral therapy. EMDR, stress-reduction , guided imagery, and meditation techniques. Nina is also a feng shui practicioner providing traditional feng shui and 5 element Chinese astrology for home and business.
Regina is a LCPC(licensed clinical professional counselor). She provides counseling for adults, couples and groups for depression, anxiety, difficult relationships, personal and spiritual growth, substance abuse, and life transitions and losses. She has been involved with mind-body practices since 1995. She received her M.S. from Johns Hopkins University and completed postgraduate training at the Anxiety and Stress Disorders Institute of Maryland. She is also a certified massage therapist.
Kate earned her Masters of Acupuncture degree from the Tai Sophia Institute in Columbia, Maryland, and also studied acupuncture in the United Kingdom with Dr. J.R. Worsley. Kate is a national board-certified and state-licensed acupuncturist who is a faculty member at Tai Sophia. She believes that being in partnership with someone through their healing process, assisting them to access their own innate healing power is a privilege and an honor.
Linda is a licensed clinical social worker with 10 years experience and a master’s degree from the University of Maryland School of Social Work. She provides psychotherapy for adults, families and groups for depression, anxiety, relationship issues, post traumatic stress and grief. Her approach embraces the mind-body-spirit connection and clients’ strengths. She has post-graduate training in the assessment and treatment of adults who have survived childhood trauma.
Linda offers integrative psychotherapy that includes cognitive-behavioral interventions as well as mindfulness and spiritual based perspectives. The development of coping strategies and healthy life skills are encouraged and supported. When appropriate, involvement in other mind-body practices may be encouraged.Linda is a graduate of Johns Hopkins University and the University of Maryland and has practiced in the Frederick area for over 20 years.
Heather graduated and became a certified Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy Practitioner in 2003 after completing 650 hours of training in assisted asana technique, therapeutic dialogue, body/mind integrative techniques, applied anatomy and more.The blend of classical yoga with modern psychology found in PRYT supports Heather's personal mission of "empowering people to be fully alive," while nurturing her own well being and spirit.
Dr. Donna received her Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine degree (ND) from Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine (SCNM) in Tempe, Arizona. SCNM is one of four accredited naturopathic medical schools in the United States offering graduate level naturopathic training with educational standards recognized and approved by the US Department of Education. She has 17 years experience in the health profession.
Dr. Donna welcomes most health conditions and has a special interest in Digestive Disorders, Women’s Health, and Environmental Illness. She develops a health plan for each individual based on his or her specific needs, applying the tools of naturopathy and taking into consideration budget, interests, and lifestyle.

Dawn started practicing massage therapy in Bethesda, Maryland at Aveda and at Jolie. Additionally, she worked at the Complimentary Care Center. These work environments helped Dawn hone her skills, introduced her to Aruvedic philosophies, and helped her learn the joy and relaxation that come with salt scrubs and hot stone massage. Working in The Center for Mind Body Therapies now, her clients enjoy the flexibility of time a spa cannot provide, and Dawn can use all the types of body work she knows during each session depending upon what the client needs.
